Martin Luther King
That is a timely quote,with a universal quality, applicable to so many circumstances. There are many "ships" and many "boats" that this applies too, beyond the ones that King had in mind at the time of his courageous quest to lead a movement and commence a journey to liberation.
The first thing that came to mind when I read this quote now was "star seeds". Star seeds have come here in different ships, and we truly are all in the same boat now...on the the same journey, on earth, experiencing human reality.
Perhaps star seeds can learn something from this quote. We need to be reminded of our common journey and mission, and not to focus our time and strength on how "different" we are from one another.
Any person who leads any type of liberating movement, like King, is a visionary. And most often than not, the quotes and ideas of visionaries are applicable to many situations years and experiences later, beyond the original cause. It is the energy that these quotes resonate that make them true and applicable to the spiritual liberation and evolution that is taking place across time.
